Hedy Lamarr, known for her acting and beauty, was actually a computer scientist. Some of her major inventions that was still use today are things such as the GPS and the CDMA(transferring data via the air). She also helped co-invent a way to prevent torpedoes from jamming signals by switching frequencies rapidly. This is called frequency hopping. Due to all her contributions, Lamarr is in the inventors Hall of Fame.
